Monday, 25 January 2010

What a lousy day it was, my phone went berserk and completely died, the screen when totally pitch black, darker than what you would usually see in the dark. I was very angry as I liked that phone as it was my friend, always there to let me play with and listen to music when I am down.
After school, i took my mother's car home and started looking for spare phones that I could use, until my original phone has been or if it is fixed. I doubt so though, the whole screen when i applied a little force, that even a toddler could, colours started to show, it was very upsetting but at the same time very cool.
I called my sister to ask her if she could let me have her old phone for awhile. The phone was a Sonny Ericsson C902, the same as Big P. What I really wanted was a music phone, as i usually listen to music on my phone instead of my ipod's, I do not know why, but it is. It is a cybershot phone, or simpler, it means it can take pictures, real good. That is what they want us to think! I tried to take a picture, but it was very blur, plus it takes years for it to finally take a picture, when i press the button, it pauses for a solid 2 seconds and takes the picture, not what i expect from a cybershot phone, however, it could be the fact that it has been around since 2006.
Now, I guess I have to just live with it, bond with it, and maybe become a passionate photographer next time, just like my sister after having this phone.

Saturday, 23 January 2010

Today is Saturday, which means I can relax the entire day.I woke up around 9.30am to get ready for tuition, as tired as I was, I had to go tuition, even I know that. After tuition, i get to relax the whole day, starting with a good meal of MacDonald's , I had fish fillet, and it was delicious. After that, I started playing my computer.
Since Saturday's and Friday's are the only day i can be seen playing computer, I treasured the time. I played Counter Strike pretty much all the way until 4.30pm, where I had to go swimming, I like swimming as the feeling of the cooling water just wakes me up, to realize that I am alive an alive!
Jaslyn made us swim like mad, ten laps of freestyle elbow recovery, if you do not know what that means, it is a harder version of freestyle, based on my opinion. Another ten laps of backstroke, each lap of 50 meters of course, and she expects us to complete it in 40 minutes. I just wish to ask her to show us that it is even possible!
My neighbour and I decided to cheat the teacher of two laps, but surprisingly, she is smart, and counted the laps we swam. The teacher eventually lets us go as she knew it was impossible for us to finish before nightfall.
We took a shower and went home, and that means i get to play computer yet again, cheers!

Thursday, 21 January 2010

Today, i felt like my legs were about to give way any second, after four days of continual soccer in recess and after school, i guess i have reached my limit. After school, I wanted to head home, take a hot bath, and just relax, watching television.
However, Amin, Rui Shuen and I had to go to Parry's house to start on our science project, we had to wait for Amin to get back from Changi Airport's Burger King. He could just eat in the school canteen, where quality and cleanliness are always kept, but no... he just wanted to have his stupid burger. We waited for 15 minutes for him to arrive back at school, and we took a bus to Parry's house. Great, no seats, i love standing up after a tiring day.
We went into Parry's house, and into his room. We started goofing off, playing basketball and what not. That crap spanned for about 15 minutes, that was when Rui Shuen arrived from his Band practice. Rui Shuen, hopefully he could bring some order. However, he and Parry started playing Mousehunt and Amin and I started throwing hoops again.
4.00pm, real work started and we took our time, browsing through the internet for the necessarily information required. We decided to go down and slack, as if we did not slack enough, and buy some food and drinks. I recommended a cup noodle that was very nice, and Parry bought it.
We finished everything at approximately 5.45pm, just enough time for Parry to prepare for his tuition. Amin and I took bus 12 back to Pasir Ris, as the day turned to night. I went home, head hung low, back slouching, and feet dragging, after i write this, i probably go catch some sleep while i can.

Tuesday, 19 January 2010

Today was one of those days that you feel that life is empty, that all you do is wake up so darn early in the morning, trying to overcome the urge to just hop back onto your bed and take forty winks. However, I am one of the lucky ones since i take a car to school, so i can nap in the car.
The only thing i look forward to that day was P.E lesson, the whole class, I might say feels the same too. Since we took the height and weight and ran the 2.4km, we thought the time to slack has arrived, and we all could play soccer, but our hearts sank as we went to the P.E department room, just to realize that we will, again be heading down to the lagoon to run another 800m. The thought of it even tires my mind.
Anyway, recess, we borrowed the ball from our kind and thoughtful P.E teacher(forgot name). Suddenly, I started to have fun. Just after not even 10 minutes of playing soccer, a typhoon hit the place. In typhoon, i mean the 2G's, they did not even ask if they could play and raided the place like a burglar would. We decided to split the court in half, and we took one side. However, irritating secondary 1's started raiding half of the court of ours, playing basketball, like monkeys chasing after a stupid banana. So, in the end, we were left with not more than a quarter of the court, in which 16 people had to cramp, and balls start hitting everybody once kicked.
Finally, the final bell rang, i went to the canteen, hoping to eat some black pepper chicken rice, however today they did not sell any, crap! I decided to eat Nasi Brani as it sounded good, in the end it tasted like something out of Justin's mouth - thrash. I took my car home and rested, but my dog kept on taking his toys to me, begging me to play, I sacrificed my sleeping time to play with him, and i had tons of homework.
At the end of the day, i am tired, bored, frustrated and unsatisfied with the day. With hope and a little bit of luck, tomorrow will not rain and I can play soccer...

Saturday, 16 January 2010

What a wonderful Saturday this has been, not only did i have a well-deserved rest, i experience something that is very majestic and splendid.
Today, i had to force myself to wake up as early as 7.30am, i mean, who gets up so early on Saturdays? Well, i had to go to my uncles funeral. He had suffered for many years, bouncing from the hospital, to home and back to the hospital. Finally, his suffering has ended. He passed away on Monday afternoon, while i was still in school. We bought some snacks at 7-eleven, and had a terrible breakfast in the car. Since there were five of us, my sisters and I had to cramp at the backseat, and i was squashed in between.
We reached my uncle's house, and sat down. I don't know if it's me, but nobody ever talks to us there, like we were invisible or something. After the ceremony, we took a rented bus and went to the place where he's remains will be burnt. After another talk from the monks, we head to the place. By the way, did i mention the monks drive Audi's? I stood at the second row to the front and waited for the coffin to be brought in.
After a long wait, the coffin entered from the lower right. Suddenly, like a gust of wind rustling the leaves, almost everyone in the room started moaning, which was pretty creepy if you ask me. Then, my uncle's daughter started talking to herself, or maybe not."Daddy, don't worry about us, we will be fine." or "If you want anything, please come and tell us." If you picture this scene, you probably feel very sad and sorry for her.
Finally, the door to the fire opened, and the coffin was being moved to the fire by some pulley. All of a sudden, the sun emerge from the clouds, like a champion from his enemies, and shone majestically at the coffin. I'm not kidding, seriously! I swear to all that is worth swearing to. I thought it was all planned by all those rich monks, but it was not. It was amazing... truly amazing.
To prove it's not coincidence, after the door closed, the light faded, and the clouds returned to cover the light, you can't imagine the amazement in me. After that, we walked out and we started talking about this phenomenon. We decided it was time to head home and feed my dog, so we hop back on that small car, and went home, bringing with us home that amazement. Hopefully, my uncle will be alright...
