What a wonderful Saturday this has been, not only did i have a well-deserved rest, i experience something that is very majestic and splendid.
Today, i had to force myself to wake up as early as 7.30am, i mean, who gets up so early on Saturdays? Well, i had to go to my uncles funeral. He had suffered for many years, bouncing from the hospital, to home and back to the hospital. Finally, his suffering has ended. He passed away on Monday afternoon, while i was still in school. We bought some snacks at 7-eleven, and had a terrible breakfast in the car. Since there were five of us, my sisters and I had to cramp at the backseat, and i was squashed in between.
We reached my uncle's house, and sat down. I don't know if it's me, but nobody ever talks to us there, like we were invisible or something. After the ceremony, we took a rented bus and went to the place where he's remains will be burnt. After another talk from the monks, we head to the place. By the way, did i mention the monks drive Audi's? I stood at the second row to the front and waited for the coffin to be brought in.
After a long wait, the coffin entered from the lower right. Suddenly, like a gust of wind rustling the leaves, almost everyone in the room started moaning, which was pretty creepy if you ask me. Then, my uncle's daughter started talking to herself, or maybe not."Daddy, don't worry about us, we will be fine." or "If you want anything, please come and tell us." If you picture this scene, you probably feel very sad and sorry for her.
Finally, the door to the fire opened, and the coffin was being moved to the fire by some pulley. All of a sudden, the sun emerge from the clouds, like a champion from his enemies, and shone majestically at the coffin. I'm not kidding, seriously! I swear to all that is worth swearing to. I thought it was all planned by all those rich monks, but it was not. It was amazing... truly amazing.
To prove it's not coincidence, after the door closed, the light faded, and the clouds returned to cover the light, you can't imagine the amazement in me. After that, we walked out and we started talking about this phenomenon. We decided it was time to head home and feed my dog, so we hop back on that small car, and went home, bringing with us home that amazement. Hopefully, my uncle will be alright...
